Dewi Puspitorini Brings the Spirit of Togetherness, UI Alumni We Care Becomes a Moment of Togetherness
Jakarta — The University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) is entering a crucial phase with the election of its Chairperson for the 2025–2028 term. Among the candidates, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, a 1987 alumna of the UI Faculty of Medicine, has garnered widespread attention thanks to her fresh ideas emphasizing cross-faculty and cross-generational collaboration.
Dewi, who received number 6 in the nomination process, brings a grand vision titled “Building a UI Alumni Association that is united, progressive, inclusive, and has a real impact on alumni, alma mater, and the nation towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.” With the spirit of “guyub” as the driving force, Dewi encourages alumni to build solidarity through the tagline “U & I Guyub, U and I become Us.”
“Guyub is not just about togetherness, but the strength to move forward collectively,” Dewi Puspitorini emphasized.
One of the flagship programs offered is the total digitalization of the Alumni Association of the University of Indonesia (Alumni Association of the Faculty of Medicine, UI) through the development of the UI Connect platform. This platform will serve as an interactive space that brings together alumni from various regions and even abroad, while also opening up opportunities for more effective collaboration.
Dewi’s support also came from the Chairman of the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Medicine, UI, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan. “Dewi is a figure who is able to embrace across faculties and generations, and truly understands the challenges faced by alumni today,” said Wawan Mulyawan.
Dewi’s extensive experience adds to her leadership credentials. She served as Director of the Health Professionals Profession at RSPAD and was entrusted with the role of personal physician to the President. Within the alumni organization, Dewi has served as Secretary General of the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Medicine, UI, Deputy Chairperson of the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Medicine, FIAKSI, and Chairperson of IKAMARS UI.
In addition to focusing on the election, Dewi also encourages concrete activities to strengthen alumni solidarity. One such initiative was the “UI Alumni We Care!” event, held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the IASTH Building, Central Jakarta. The event ran from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time and involved alumni from across faculties, final-year students, recent graduates, industry players, professionals, and the business community.
The event featured a variety of events, including a job fair that opened up employment opportunities in various industrial sectors, an entrepreneurship talk show, a culinary bazaar for alumni MSMEs, free health checks, and an entertainment stage.
With an inclusive vision, digitalization strategy, and concrete programs, Dewi Puspitorini emphasized that the future leadership of ALUNI UI will not only strengthen the organization internally but also make real contributions to the wider community. She promoted this spirit of togetherness as the foundation for making ALUNI UI adaptive, modern, and globally competitive.
