UI Alumni We Care Becomes Dewi Puspitorini’s Momentum to Push for ILUNI UI’s Digital Transformation
Jakarta – Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, the candidate for Chair of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period, affirmed her vision to establish an alumni organization that is inclusive, modern, and has a real impact on the nation. This commitment was conveyed through the “UI Alumni We Care!” event held at the IASTH Building, Central Jakarta, Friday (August 15, 2025).
This event was not merely a gathering place for alumni, but also featured programs that directly addressed community needs. A series of activities, including a job fair, entrepreneurship talk show, alumni MSME bazaar, and free health check-ups, demonstrated ILUNI UI as an adaptive and beneficial platform.
“Guyub” is not just about togetherness, but also the strength to move forward collectively. UI alumni must demonstrate a real role, not only on campus, but also in society,” said Dewi Puspitorini.
Dewi explained that the concept of togetherness, through the tagline “U & I Guyub, U and I become Us,” will be realized through concrete steps. One of these is digital transformation through the UI Connect platform, which serves as a medium for connecting alumni across regions and countries.
“Technology should be used to bring people closer, not to limit them. With UI Connect, alumni from around the world can stay connected in one inclusive and dynamic ecosystem,” explained Dewi Puspitorini.
In addition to digital innovation, Dewi also highlighted organizational governance. According to her, Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) must have a professional and transparent management system to be a role model. “ILUNI UI must be an example of a clean, open organization that has a real impact on the nation. Legitimacy is born from consistent accountability,” Dewi Puspitorini emphasized.
The issue of alumni welfare is also a major concern for her. She views the importance of measurable support programs, ranging from healthcare services and psychological support to financial assistance. “Alumni well-being, both physical and mental, is an investment to strengthen Alumni Association’s role in the future,” Dewi Puspitorini concluded.
Support for Dewi also flows from among alumni. Wawan Mulyawan, Chairperson of the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (UI), believes Dewi possesses the capacity and vision needed by the organization in this era of rapid change. “Dewi has a clear vision and real capacity. She can combine professional competence with a collaborative spirit to unite the diverse alumni,” said Wawan Mulyawan.
The election for the Alumni Association of the University of Indonesia (UI) Chairperson is scheduled for August 23–24, 2025, using an e-voting system. This mechanism is considered capable of increasing participation while strengthening the legitimacy of the election results.
Through the “UI Alumni We Care!” momentum, Dewi Puspitorini emphasized the new direction of Alumni Association of the University of UI. With an inclusive vision, digitalization strategy, and attention to member welfare, Dewi presents an alumni organization that is more adaptive, transparent, and makes a real contribution to the nation.
