Ali Kabiay: 80 Years of Indonesian Independence: Time to Unite to Realize a Peaceful Papua
Jayapura – The commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia is a valuable moment to strengthen national unity and realize a peaceful, secure, and prosperous Papua. This 80th anniversary of independence is not merely a celebration, but also a moral call for all citizens to work together to maintain the unity and integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
Ali Kabiay, Chairman of the Mandala Trikora Youth Movement of Papua Province and Secretary General of the Central Leadership Council of the Indonesian Red and White Front, stated that in commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, he called on all levels of society, especially the Papuan people, to support the government’s programs in nation-building.
“I would like to wish you a Happy 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. This is certainly an extraordinary moment for all of us as citizens to work together with the government to contribute to finding solutions for the future development of our nation,” Ali said.
As a young Papuan, he also urged the community to realize a peaceful and more advanced Papua in the future.
“As an Indonesian citizen, a member of the younger generation of Indonesia, and a young Papuan, I hope that my friends abroad, and friends throughout Indonesia, will pray for and support the Land of Papua to become a more peaceful, advanced, and beautiful region,” he said.
Ali hopes that with the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Indonesia will become a developed country and its people will be more prosperous.
“Of course, we hope that Indonesia will become a rapidly developing country, with people throughout Indonesia becoming prosperous and morally dignified,” Ali said.
The momentum of the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia serves as a reminder that unity is the greatest strength of the Indonesian nation. All parties are expected to work together to maintain stability, strengthen tolerance, and foster a spirit of togetherness. Thus, the ideals of a peaceful, prosperous, and just Papua can be realized as an integral part of Indonesia Emas 2045.
