Dewi Puspitorini Offers Transparent Governance for the Future of the UI Alumni Association
Jakarta – The election of the Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period is seen as a crucial moment to determine the direction of Indonesia’s largest alumni organization. Among the candidates running, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, stands out with her vision of modernization, transparency, and a spirit of togetherness across generations.
As a pulmonologist and hospital management expert, Dewi is known for her collaborative, open leadership style and focus on tangible results. With the tagline “U & I Guyub, U and I become Us,” she aims to emphasize that togetherness is not just about gathering, but also about the collective strength that drives alumni to move forward together.
One of the main ideas she proposes is the development of an integrated digital alumni ecosystem through the UI Connect platform. This platform is designed to bring together alumni networks from various fields, both domestically and internationally, so that real collaborations can be created that have a direct impact on society.
“Technology should be used to bring people closer, not to limit them,” said Dewi.
Besides digitalization, Dewi places great emphasis on transparent and professional organizational governance. According to her, accountability is key to ensuring Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) remains trusted, relevant, and able to evolve with the demands of the times. She also developed programs that directly address alumni needs, such as regular health checkups, psychological services, and financial support for those in need.
Support for Dewi came from various groups. The Secretary-General of ILUNI UI, Ahmad Fitrianto, assessed that Dewi’s ideas align with the organization’s current needs.
“Especially in strengthening synergy with HIMPUNI and the government,” he explained.
Dr. Risman Pasaribu, a member of the National KAHMI Expert Council, echoed Dewi’s sentiments, describing her as a figure of high integrity and extensive experience. He believes Dewi has the capacity to make ALUNI UI more modern, transparent, and inclusive.
The election for the ALUNI UI Chairperson will take place on August 23–24, 2025, using an e-voting system, which is expected to expand alumni participation and strengthen the legitimacy of the election results.
With an inclusive vision, the use of digital technology, and a commitment to transparent governance, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini is believed to be able to lead ALUNI UI to become a united, progressive organization that is ready to face future challenges.
