Dewi Puspitorini Promotes a Transparent and Digital ILUNI UI

Jakarta – The University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) is preparing to hold the election for its chairman for the 2025–2028 period on August 23–24, 2025. The election process will be conducted electronically through the UI Connect application, as an effort to create an alumni organization that is adaptive to current developments.

The Chairman of ILUNI UI, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (FKUI), Wawan Mulyawan, hopes that the new leader of ILUNI UI will be an alumnus with a strong track record and a vision aligned with the needs of today’s alumni. “And a vision that aligns with the needs of today’s UI alumni,” he said.

One candidate who has attracted attention is Dewi Puspitorini. Carrying the tagline “U&I Guyub, U and I become Us,” Dewi conveyed her vision of building an ILUNI UI that is united, progressive, inclusive, and has a real impact on alumni, alma mater, and the nation, towards Indonesia Emas 2045. She emphasized the importance of togetherness that goes beyond symbols, but is realized through concrete actions.

In her vision, Dewi emphasized five strategic missions. First, the Total Digitalization of the ILUNI System, which aims to make the alumni organization modern, efficient, and connected 24/7 through UI Connect. Second, Strengthening the Global Alumni Network so that the potential of alumni spread across the globe can be fostered in real collaboration.

The third mission, Sustainable Alumni Empowerment, focuses on improving the welfare, mental health, and career development of alumni. Fourth, Real Contribution to Indonesia, which emphasizes the important role of alumni in national development. Fifth, Empowering Indonesian Women, to strengthen women’s leadership and equality, starting from the UI alumni community.

“ILUNI UI must be an example of a transparent, accountable, and inclusive alumni organization. With more than 300,000 alumni spread across various strategic sectors, our potential contribution to the nation is enormous. What is needed is an effective collaboration platform and leadership with a long-term vision,” Dewi emphasized.

She added that the concept of togetherness, promoted by the tagline “U and I Guyub, U and I become Us,” will be realized through the use of technology. Digital transformation through UI Connect is believed to be a medium for connecting alumni across regions and countries. “Technology should be used to bring people closer, not to limit them. With UI Connect, alumni from around the world can stay connected in one inclusive and dynamic ecosystem,” she explained.

In addition to encouraging digital innovation, Dewi also emphasized the importance of professional and transparent organizational governance. According to her, ILUNI UI must be a role model for other alumni organizations in Indonesia. “ILUNI UI must be an example of an organization that is clean, open, and has a real impact on the nation. Legitimacy is born from consistent accountability,” she said.

With cross-faculty support and a vision that emphasizes transparency and digitalization, Dewi Puspitorini emerges as a strong candidate ready to lead ILUNI UI into a new era. (*)
