UI Alumni We Care! An Inclusive Program for ILUNI UI from Dewi Puspitorini
Jakarta – The 2025 General Election of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI Election) is a crucial event to determine the future direction of the alumni organization. In this contest, one of the candidates, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, MARS, emphasized her vision of inclusive and collaborative leadership as a response to the challenges of the times.
Using the tagline “U&I Guyub, U and I become Us,” Dewi projects ILUNI UI as a large, united, progressive, and inclusive home, with real contributions to alumni, the alma mater, and the nation toward a Golden Indonesia 2045.
“ILUNI UI must be a large home for all alumni, a place to exchange ideas, grow together, and make real contributions,” said Dewi.
According to her, her organizational experience and career path have shaped her view that the strength of UI alumni lies in collaboration across faculties, generations, and professions.
To that end, she proposed five strategic missions as pillars of her leadership: total digitalization of the ILUNI system, strengthening the global alumni network, sustainable empowerment of alumni, real contributions to a healthier Indonesia, and empowering women within the UI alumni community.
Support for Dewi came from various alumni groups. The General Chair of the ILUNI Faculty of Medicine, UI, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, viewed Dewi as a unifying figure with a vision relevant to the current needs of the alumni organization.
“She has a vision and experience relevant to the needs of today’s alumni organization,” said Wawan.
He added that the democratic election process is expected to further strengthen the sense of togetherness within the UI family. With a collaboration-based approach, Dewi is considered capable of presenting a progressive and inclusive future for ILUNI UI, while also having a broad impact on the nation.
The Secretary General of ILUNI UI, Ahmad Fitrianto, also welcomed Dewi’s ideas. He believed that ILUNI UI needs to strengthen synergy with various parties, including the Indonesian State University Alumni Association (HIMPUNI) and the government, to support the national strategic agenda.
“The UI Alumni Association needs to strengthen collaboration to promote food self-sufficiency, digital innovation, and improve public welfare,” he said.
Ahmad emphasized that the democratic 2025 UI Alumni Election reflects the values of openness and participation, which align with the spirit of alumni organization reform.
Furthermore, the democratic process in this election is not merely a contest, but a space to strengthen solidarity and pride as part of the UI family. With the vision “UI Alumni We Care!”, Dewi Puspitorini emphasizes the importance of inclusive leadership that embraces all parties. This idea aligns with the government’s commitment to strengthening community participation, cross-sector collaboration, and developing superior human resources.
The 2025 UI Alumni Election is expected to produce leaders who can not only maintain alumni unity but also make UI Alumni a strategic partner for the government in realizing Indonesia Emas 2045. In this context, Dewi Puspitorini’s inclusive vision brings new hope for UI Alumni to become a modern, adaptive, and relevant organization to meet the needs of the times.
