Indonesian National Armed Forces, Police and the Community Solidly Guard Democracy Without Unrest

Jakarta — National stability and security are top priorities in maintaining the continuity of democracy in Indonesia. The TNI and Polri, along with elements of society, affirmed their commitment to solidly safeguarding the life of the nation and state without allowing room for unrest.

The Head of the Indonesian Army Information Service (Kadispenad), Brigadier General Wahyu Yudhayana, emphasized that the Indonesian Army, through its regional units such as the Military District Command (Kodim) and the Military Rayon Command (Koramil), is ready to collaborate with the police and local governments. This effort is being made to strengthen community security from all potential threats.

“Yes, that’s for sure. In all regions, throughout the country, we are revitalizing the spirit of protecting our respective territories,” said Wahyu.

He added that the role of Village Guidance Officers (Babinsa) and Bhabinkamtibmas (Public Order Officers) is crucial as the spearhead of the TNI-Polri presence in the community. “In addition to assisting and managing community activities, we also ensure that all regions remain conducive,” he continued.

Echoing this sentiment, Neville GJ. Muskita, Chairman of the Jakarta Provincial Executive Board of the Harimau NGO, emphasized that the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) are key pillars in maintaining national stability. He emphasized the importance of unity among the security forces in supporting the government under President Prabowo’s leadership.

“Don’t divide the TNI and Polri. Support the government under President Prabowo’s leadership. Indonesia is strong, Indonesia is progressing,” Neville emphasized.

Neville also urged the public not to be easily provoked by issues that have the potential to divide the nation. He argued that provocative efforts frequently circulating on social media must be countered with the unity and togetherness of the people with the TNI and Polri.

“Indonesia can only progress if the people are united and our state apparatus remains solid. The solidarity of the TNI and Polri is the key to successful national development,” he explained.

With the TNI and Polri’s presence in the community through concrete cooperation in line with President Prabowo’s directives, a sense of security will be further maintained. The presence of security forces is expected to counter provocative movements and the spread of hoaxes that could potentially spark unrest.

“This solidarity is a clear symbol that democracy in Indonesia can be implemented in an orderly and peaceful manner, and also reflects the success of national leadership in maintaining stability. Together with the people, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) are committed to maintaining a safe, peaceful, and united Indonesia for the sake of a more advanced future for the nation.”
