Synergy Between the Indonesian National Armed Forces, Police and the Community as a Guardian of Peaceful Aspirations

Jakarta – The synergy between the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the community continues to be strengthened as a key pillar in maintaining national security, order, and stability. This collaboration is believed to ensure that every public aspiration can be channeled peacefully, without causing unrest or anarchic actions.

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasized the police’s commitment to safeguarding democracy, especially when the public expresses their opinions in public.

“We, along with the TNI, will continue to be present to ensure that the public’s right to express their aspirations is protected, but this must be done in an orderly, safe manner, and without harming the public interest,” he said.

Similarly, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto emphasized that the strength of the Indonesian nation lies in unity. He emphasized that freedom of expression must remain within the law to prevent division.

“The TNI, along with the Polri, are committed to safeguarding the people’s aspirations so that they are not exploited by parties seeking to disrupt peace. Unity is our primary asset as a nation,” he asserted.

A similar commitment was also conveyed by the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, who emphasized the importance of the community’s role.

“We invite all elements of society to become strategic partners in maintaining security. This collaboration is not solely the responsibility of the authorities, but a shared responsibility to ensure this nation remains safe and peaceful,” said Sandi.

This synergy is evident through various activities in the field. Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (Polri) officers conduct joint patrols, secure community demonstrations, and even visit neighborhood watch posts with residents.

The presence of officers in the community is not only limited to maintaining security but also fosters closeness through persuasive dialogue, social activities, and humanitarian actions.

Furthermore, the TNI and Polri are also paying attention to the threat of provocation on social media. Officers continue to remind the public to be wise in sharing information.

“We must all be wary of fake news that can trigger unrest. Let’s filter it before sharing,” said Inspector General Sandi.
