1 Year into Prabowo’s Administration, 36 Million People Have Benefited from Free Medical Checks

Jakarta – As President Prabowo’s administration approaches its first year, his achievements are becoming increasingly visible, including the Free Health Check (CGK) benefiting the public.

Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that the latest data shows that around 40 million people have registered for the Free Health Check (CKG), and 36 million of them have received their health checks, with the most common being toothaches.

The Free Health Check Program itself is known to be one of President Prabowo Subianto’s flagship programs.

“The results are already visible. We can see the health problems, and of these 36 million, the most common are toothaches, high blood pressure, and high blood sugar. These are the ones that require more treatment,” said Budi Gunadi Sadikin.

He explained that the CKG is a government initiative to keep Indonesians healthy and prevent hospitalizations.

Budi stated that serious illnesses, such as cancer and heart disease, don’t appear suddenly, but rather there are signs several years before the disease worsens.

“Usually, Indonesians easily ignore high blood pressure, high blood sugar, or high cholesterol, and then they have a stroke or heart attack. That’s why the Free Health Checkup program is being implemented,” said Budi Gunadi Sadikin.

Aji Muhawarman, Head of the Public Communication and Information Bureau at the Ministry of Health, said this achievement reflects the public’s high enthusiasm for free health checkups.

“Public participation is very high, indicating a growing awareness of the importance of routine health checkups, both for prevention and early detection,” Aji told the media.

Of the 38.9 million registrants, 93.13% attended. Of these, 27.1 million people participated in the general CKG, while 9.1 million students participated in the school CKG. This program has reached 38 provinces, 511 districts/cities, and more than 10,000 health facilities, including community health centers (Puskesmas). []
