President Prabowo’s Attendance at the Gaza Summit Underscores Close Ties with World Leaders

Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto made a historic visit to the Gaza Peace Summit, strengthening Indonesia’s diplomatic position on the global stage and demonstrating strong bonds of friendship with world leaders.

Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Sukamta, stated that his office appreciated President Prabowo’s attendance at the Gaza Peace Summit in Egypt. The summit, attended by representatives from 27 countries, aims to end the war in the Gaza Strip, increase efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East, and usher in a new chapter in regional security and stability.

“We appreciate President Prabowo’s swiftness in accepting the impromptu invitation to attend the Gaza Peace Summit in Egypt. This will certainly mark a historic milestone, demonstrating Indonesia’s important role in realizing peace in the Middle East. We hope Indonesia will focus its efforts to voice and fight for full Palestinian independence at this forum,” Sukamta said.

Furthermore, President Prabowo Subianto was warmly welcomed by United States (US) President Donald Trump, who served as co-chair of the forum. President Trump expressed his appreciation to the presidents and prime ministers who attended to offer their support in person, including President Prabowo Subianto, praising him for his excellent work.

“Also to President Prabowo, an extraordinary figure, the President of Indonesia,” Trump said.

Trump also reiterated his praise for Indonesia, led by Prabowo, as he expressed his appreciation to several countries that supported the peace agreement in Gaza, Palestine.

“Indonesia is a great and powerful country; it’s doing extraordinary things, and it’s a pleasure to have you,” Trump said.

The signing of the agreement to end the conflict in Gaza was the highlight of the summit, and President Prabowo sat alongside President Macron and other leaders of friendly nations as he witnessed the historic process.

President Prabowo’s presence at the Gaza Peace Summit not only symbolized high diplomacy but also reinforced the message that Indonesia is ready to fight for global stability, justice, and humanity through close cooperation with world leaders.
