Thousands of Residents Have Enjoyed the Free Health Check Program

JAKARTA – The Free Medical Check Program which has been running since February 10, 2025, has received high enthusiasm from the public. In the first four days, as many as 65 thousand residents have utilized this service in various regions.
This program is expected to increase public awareness of health and reduce the number of non-communicable diseases that often require high treatment costs.
Deputy Minister of Health, Dante Saksono, said that this program is an initial strategy in making the community healthy. With early examination, diseases can be detected earlier so that they can be prevented before they develop into more serious ones.
“The increase in the number of patients at health centers will actually reduce the burden on hospitals in the future, reduce medical costs, and control BPJS health financing,” said Dante.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Samarinda City Health Office, dr. Ismid Kusasih stated that the CKG service is available in 26 health centers and can be accessed through the Satu Sehat application.
“Residents can come directly to the health center or access it through the Satu Sehat application. This program provides convenience for the community and is free of charge,” he said.
Elsewhere, the Head of the Wonogiri Regency Health Office, Setyarini, said that this free examination service was a birthday present for residents. It was recorded that out of 456 registrants, 85 people had utilized this service.
“This program applies to all age groups, from toddlers to the elderly. With regular check-ups, public awareness of health is increasing,” said Setyarini.
In Pekalongan City, the Head of the Medono Health Center, Happy Ika Fatmawati, said that this service was a birthday present from the state to the people. This program aims to detect health problems early and improve the quality of life of the community. Until now, 16 residents in Pekalongan have utilized this CKG service.
“Screening is carried out from infants to the elderly. With early detection, morbidity and mortality rates can be reduced,” said Happy.
With more and more residents utilizing this service, the government hopes that the CKG program can contribute to reducing the number of diseases and increasing public awareness of the importance of routine health checks.
The government also invites all people to be more active in maintaining health through early examination. With higher awareness, it is hoped that the morbidity rate will decrease and the national health system will be more efficient in providing the best service for all Indonesian people.
